Community Solutions to Housing & Homelessness
Our young people were honoured to be part of this innovative project, hosted by Community Foundation NI, that saw them participate in skills-building workshops and a funding process that culminated in them successfully 'pitching' for £25,000 of funding to address housing and homelessness issues affecting young people. It goes without saying, but we are hugely proud of the team and their achievements.
Youth Management Board Residential 2023
Our first ever, proper residential took place at the end of May 2023 in the stunning 'Glens of Antrim'. We were delighted to be hosted by the fabulous team at 'Willow & Lore Wild Glamping' who ensured that our days and nights were action-packed and restful in equal measures.
10th Birthday Celebration
May 2023 saw the YEAR Project having completed 10 years of service, supporting the young people of the Causeway Coast & Glens borough. We were delighted to be able to celebrate with some of those young people, our youth management board, and with our steering committee, all of whom have ensured that we remain true to our youth-led ethos.
Friendship & Photographs
A joint photography project and exhibition, started during lockdown, bringing together young people from the Mae Murray Foundation and the YEAR Project. Photographs have been exhibited in the Braid Arts Centre, Ballymena and Flowerfield Arts Centre, Portstewart.
Alongside all of this, the young photographers also completed and OCN 1 in Digital Photography.

Halloween 2022: Wicked Witch of the North West
A spooky escape room experience, created by the Youth Management Board and delivered to youth groups during the Halloween to December 2022 period. This project not only challenged the participants but also the YMB, as they needed to learn and develop the skills and knowledge to create all the puzzles and props for this to be a successful and enjoyable venture..
Empowering Youth Conference 2022
A conference for young people by young people. This conference was organised by the Youth Management Board, to showcase and connect the services that support and empower young people within the Causeway Coast & Glens Borough.
