Recent Activities

Youth Advisory Group
It has been a busy time for our Youth Advisory Group. These young people take time out of their busy schedules to advise us on how best to deliver our service.

However it is not all talk. The members are amongst our most reliable volunteers and have been invaluable in organizing activities.

As a special Halloween thank you, we rewarded them with loads of goodies, treats and a socially-distanced scary movie.

Slow Cookers
We were very happy to be selected by the Northern Healthy Lifestyles Partnership to receive slow cookers and recipe books to promote healthy eating during lockdown.

The slow cookers were distributed to young people engaged with the YEAR project who were shielding with family members.

The cookers and recipe books were a huge hit and certainly inspired our young people to create some fantastic dishes.

3D Printed PPE
At the start of lockdown and in response to a request from our young people we turned our social enterprise activities to the creation of PPE.

Thanks to our links with Flowerfield Arts Centre and the support of a local business, we were able to put a skilled team together to 3d print and assemble faceshields.

Over the course of six months our printers produced much needed PPE for Care Homes, Ambulance Services and other Key Workers.
